Core Services

  • Route review specialists have conducted over 17,000 household account lid flips to assess container contamination in compliance with SB 1383 CCM requirements. We use a specialized internal app to document all household information and are trained in Recyclist, SMART 1383 and ArcGIS.

  • Our team of edible food recovery experts has years of experience implementing SB 1383 programs at Tier 1 and Tier 2 generators. Collectively we have completed over 500 business inspections for over 15 cities in Southern and Central California. We leverage our relationships with industry experts and regional food donation programs to bridge the gap between donor and recipient.

  • Recently, California cities have identified plastic waste reduction and reusable policies as a priority and our involvement in this space includes conducting hundreds of business site visits to implement the City of Palm Spring’s innovative ordinance and Burbank’s stakeholder engagement as part of its policy development process. We understand the intricacies of this unique sector and are able to meet businesses where they’re at with this change.

  • Trash and recycling sorting for CalRecycle, Washington State, NYC and more.

  • We help cities identify account exemptions to AB 341/1826 and SB 1383 and utilize our expert knowledge of material types to make account change recommendations to maximize space and cost savings, while making the waiver process easy for businesses and local jurisdictions.

Why ReCREATE?

We are recreating the way local jurisdictions think about their waste programs. Behavior change is difficult, especially at the scale of municipal waste programs, but the business-as-usual approach is long overdue for a haul.

Our growing team of 15 recycling specialists take the guess work out of compliance and makes it easy for local jurisdictions, businesses and residents to participate in new organics and food donation programs. With our breadth of experience in the industry and our passion for creative community-based social marketing approaches, we aid our clients in making a smooth transition to the “new normal”.
